Lighting Dance for Choreographers, Dancers and Designers
New York City Ballet resident lighting designer Mark Stanley leads this in-person course geared to Dance Lighting Design for Choreographers, Dancers, and Designers. The 6-session course will cover the unique intersection of Light and Movement, their shared vocabulary, specific exploration of how to develop compelling and effective lighting designs for dance, and communication between Choreographers and Designers.

Each week will involve practical projects in our light lab classroom space at the New York Center for Creativity and Dance. 287 East 10th Street, New York City.
There will also be projects that you will want to work on outside of classroom time, and the lab will be available at various times in the week for that work throughout the course.
