Protected: Professional Workshop in Lighting Design
Studio School of Design announces an upcoming intensive workshop in professional lighting design to be offered in person [MONTH, date range, 2024]. This workshop will be facilitated by industry leaders from Broadway, Concerts, Television and Architectural Consulting. Topics to be covered include: Actionable Lighting Design Skills, Techniques and Knowledge, Wellness and Personal Care within a challenging profession, and Career Guidance. This five-day workshop will increase your proficiencies in professional networking & lighting design professional practice to help give participants access to a bigger set of career options.
This workshop is intended to help everyone who is seeking to increase their skills, effectiveness and knowledge base as a working professional in entertainment lighting.

Intended Outcomes from this workshop:
We have built this workshop around the goals that the participants will gain:
- An understanding of the skills needed for working in the lighting design field
- A template for current professional practice
- Specific training in some of the above identified skills including: 3-d CAD, Software based color manipulation, Pre-visualization tools, professional programming tips and tricks
- Learning around non-skill-based, but essential subjects including: the philosophy of lighting storytelling, color and style, an understanding of all the many careers that use these skills.
