Heather McAvoy, ASTC, is Principal with Schuler Shook Theatre Planners, leading its San Francisco Bay office. Prior to joining Schuler Shook, she was President of Landry & Bogan Theatre Consultants. In 35 years of practice, she has consulted on over 250 projects. Favorites include the Thomas Theatre at Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Mandell Weiss Forum at La Jolla Playhouse, Portland Center Stage at the Armory, Clayes Performing Arts Center at CSU Fullerton and Harry J. Elam, Jr. Theater at Stanford University.

She has extensive experience in lighting design, stage, and production management. A graduate of Stanford University and NYU Tisch School of the Arts, she is a lighting design member of United Scenic Artists and President of the American Society of Theatre Consultants. She is passionate about supporting theatre programs in her community and local schools and serves on the Board of Directors of the Half Moon Bay Shakespeare Company.
