Jensyn Oertel-Modero

Jensyn Oertel-Modero is an experienced educator, director and choreographer with a demonstrated history of working in the secondary school and collegiate education industry. She is a strong education professional with a M.A. in Theatre Studies from Montclair State University, a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre from The Boston Conservatory and is a NJ licensed K-12 theatre and dance educator. She is currently the Performing Arts teacher at William F. Halloran (School 22) as part of Elizabeth Public Schools, formerly of Rahway High School and James Caldwell High School. In addition, Jensyn teaches and directs for The Paper Mill Playhouse Summer Conservatory and is an adjunct at Kean University teaching Acting I. In addition, she is currently working towards her M.F.A. in Theatre Pedagogy at the University of Idaho. Jensyn was recently recognized by Oprah Winfrey and Gayle King as a “teacher who went above and beyond” during the pandemic as part of the September issue of The OG Chronicles.
