Tacy L. Flaherty

Tacy L. Flaherty has been a working Scenic Artist for the past 15 years, mostly in New York City. She received an undergraduate degree in Theater Production and Design from the University of Findlay in 2008, and a Graduate Certificate from Boston University’s Scenic Painting Program in 2010. Tacy spent 3 summers at the Williamstown Theater Festival. She also did summer stock for Stagedoor Manor and The Utah Shakespeare Festival. After freelancing for New York Theater Workshop, Signature Theatre, and The Public Theater, she accepted the Scenic Charge position at Mind The Gap, inc. in 2013. Tacy’s love of theater and working outdoors led her back to The Public Theater and Shakespeare In The Park in 2015 as seasonal full-time staff and in 2018 she was promoted to the full-time position of Assistant Charge Artist, a position which she originated, until summer of 2023. Tacy takes great pride in collaborative arts and working with interns, fellows, and early career Scenic Artists. Teaching the craft of scenic art to others brings her great joy.
